Rinjani Jungle Trek 3 Days – Torean Route (Without Summit)
A Scenic, Adventurous, and Jungle-Filled Route to Segara Anak Lake
The 3-Day Rinjani Jungle Trek via the Torean Route is one of the most scenic and adventurous ways to experience Mount Rinjani without climbing the summit.
This route is famous for its lush valleys, dense tropical rainforest, dramatic cliffs, natural hot springs, and constantly changing terrain that many trekkers describe as a “Jurassic Park–like” landscape.
Throughout the journey, trekkers pass towering jungle trees, hidden waterfalls, crystal-clear rivers, narrow ridgelines, and deep volcanic valleys. The trail combines moderate uphill climbs with technical downhill sections, making it ideal for adventurous hikers who prefer exploration and scenery over a demanding summit push.
With an overnight stay at Propok Camp and extended time at Segara Anak Lake, this program offers a balanced trekking experience that blends rainforest adventure, crater exploration, and lakeside relaxation — without the extreme difficulty of the summit routes.

Route Options: Torean → Senaru or Senaru → Torean
The 3-Day Torean trekking program can be done in two directions.
Both options avoid the summit and focus on jungle landscapes, crater scenery,
and Segara Anak Lake.
Option 1: 3D2N Torean → Senaru
Best for trekkers who want a tougher start and a smoother, classic rainforest finish.
- Day 1: Trek from Torean Village through jungle valleys to Propok Camp.
- Day 2: Continue to Segara Anak Lake, enjoy hot springs, then ascend to Senaru Crater Rim.
- Day 3: Descend via the established Senaru rainforest trail.
This option begins with a challenging jungle ascent but rewards trekkers
with dramatic crater views and a comfortable descent on the final day.

Option 2: 3D2N Senaru → Torean
Best for trekkers who prefer a gentler start and a dramatic jungle descent.
- Day 1: Trek from Senaru Village through the rainforest to Senaru Camp.
- Day 2: Reach Segara Anak Lake, relax at the hot springs, and overnight at Propok Camp.
- Day 3: Descend via the spectacular Torean Valley to Torean Village.
This route offers one of the most scenic jungle descents on Mount Rinjani, with rivers, waterfalls, narrow ridges, and dense forest throughout the final day.
