    Your meeting point is at your hotel in the Mataram area or around company of office . Our team will pick you up directly from your accommodation between 08:00 – 08:30 AM to start the journey.

    After the trip, on the way back to Lombok, we will drop you off in the Mataram / Senggigi / Bangsal area. If you have already booked a hotel in one of these areas, we can take you directly to your accommodation.

  • Day 1 – Lombok to Sumbawa Journey
  • Your whale shark adventure begins with an early departure from Lombok to ensure a smooth and well-paced journey.

  • Pick-up from your hotel in Mataram / Senggigi / Lombok area, followed by a 2-hour drive to Kayangan Harbour, East Lombok.
  • Ferry Crossing:
  • Ferry journey from Kayangan Harbour (Lombok) to Poto Tano Harbour (Sumbawa), taking approximately 2 hours.
  • Land Transfer in Sumbawa:
  • Upon arrival at Poto Tano Harbour, continue with a scenic overland transfer to your hotel in Sumbawa, taking approximately 4 hours.
  • Total Travel Time:
  • The total journey time from Lombok to the hotel in Sumbawa is approximately 8 hours, combining land and sea transportation.

    Extended Search Commitment
    Whale sharks are wild animals living in their natural environment. While sightings are very common in the area, encounters cannot be guaranteed with absolute certainty.
    On Day 1, guests will arrive and rest after the long journey to the whale shark area. No search activities are conducted on this day to ensure guests are well rested and prepared for the experience.
    The whale shark search will begin on Day 2.
    If whale sharks are not encountered on Day 2, our team will extend the search to Day 3 as part of our commitment to giving guests the best possible opportunity to experience swimming with whale sharks.
    All additional costs associated with the extended search will be fully covered by our company, including:
    • One additional night of accommodation
    • Extended transportation arrangements
    • Boat operations and crew costs for the additional search day
